Al-Shomo’e Foundation for Press and Media is proud that it’s now offering the fourth press publication (Yemen Fox); a political, comprehensive English Newspaper.
With this, we dare to say that we have made a qualitative shift that we always sought to achieve bearing in mind the knowledge of the difficulties, hardships and the noble message of the profession.
No doubt that with this publication we have added to our previous achievements, living up to our professional commitments which pursues truth wherever it might be.
The first issue of this newspaper is an important springboard in delivering the true image about Yemen and its people in regards to human rights and freedoms, highlighting democracy with all its advantages and drawbacks as our Foundation aligns with the truth and work for achieving it, bearing in mind the great challenges involved in the process of seeking it. Our endeavor is for the truth that illuminates the homeland and respects the people's struggle for dignity, freedom, equality national partnership and peaceful power transfer. These principles must be pursued through real democratic practice without any counterfeiting.
Yemen Fox definitely , places itself in the first row for defending the values of appropriateness, goodness and the truth which remains to be the pulse of our pen without fear or meekness.
These are the ethics of the press that believe in the diversity of mankind and their ability to offer by releasing their inherent potentials. It is an issue that can only be reached through the practice of fair democracy, which is free of any influences that attempt to derail it, or to employ it for the interest of any group on the expense of the people. It should be safeguarded against any form of new opportunism seeking to exploit man.
This is the Yemen Fox principle that motivates us into respecting democracy as a modern system for performing justice and offers the people chance of free expression.
The responsible media goes in line with the progressive upgrading of democracy and that is what we are hoping for, and we believe that we have a considerable experience in this respect that we have culminated through the press publications which we had issued in the Alshomo’e Foundation for Press and Media which stood firm in working for truth , impartiality, transparency and away from any hypocritical flattery to anyone.
We shall go ahead with strong will to offer the most magnificent image of press in our country which is undergoing challenges and struggle to promote the status of the Yemeni citizen and the establishment of the modern civil state. The way for achieving this end passes through the elimination of corruption, and the firm stand against injustice.
