All Arab rulers are famous for their arrogance to the extent of tyranny. Gadafi had been quoted as saying to the African mediator that his people sanctify him. It was also said that President Saleh has also addressed an official by citing the holy verse from Quran that says “If ye are grateful, I will add more (favours) unto you.” The President had been boasting of the praise that he had heard and the crowds that had gathered to meet him in one of the governorates. He also intended to mock the official who failed to honor him by receiving him in the same way in a carnival in another province that had cost the state’s treasury billions of riyals.

Tyrants don’t come out of the blues. Unfortunately we contribute to creating them and then we pay dearly to get rid of their tyranny and corruption.

There is no difference between a monarchy and a republican ruler. They are ultimately of the same community that had produced the inspirational, legendry, arrogant and murderous tyrant. They are all of the same material, who won’t give up the throne without blood or sacrifice. Abdurrahman al-Dakhil, the Emir of Andalusia  had a famous proverb when his power was disputed that says “the palace or the grave," meaning that he either rules or die.

We have lots of sample of Gadafi, Saleh, Bashar, Zain al-Abdin, Moubark and others on the list whom we have rebelled against after our suffering worsened due to their  absolute power? The absolute power had corrupted the minds, consciences, morals and religion of the rulers leading one of these mad leaders to come out, saying: I'm not a president or I would have thrown my resignation in your faces, I am the commander of the revolution and a militant who came from a tent in the desert. I am not a glory and honor to you alone, but for the Arab nation, the people of Africa and of Latin America.

We wake up after a century long struggle to a big lie which we have created and believed. We find that there is no other alternative than uprooting this nightmare of human idols that had held back our development as a nation that has so long lost their way because of their decadent, frivolous corrupt rulers.  

There is no reassuring optimism at present regarding these rulers. No one will fear death when the options vary from being shot dead to dying because of misery, sorrow or regret. As the final result is death, one should choose a worthy way of dying honorably. 

The Algerian writer Ahlam Mosteghanemi said in her novel (Memory of Body and soul), I belong to a nation that offers you the option to die of plague or cholera, and either way you will face your fate because the country is not a home but a dictator whose image had been magnified to increase his violence and oppression.

The revolutions shouldn’t wipe out tyranny, without wiping the negative inbuilt image of the ruler whose function is derived from the people, because our countries would continue to be a space which is ruled by force without consideration to the home land or the citizenship. We rebel, die and shed our blood for the sake of the homeland where the right thing is to live for the sake of the country. President Bashar said that he would sacrifice himself for his people but in fact he is killing his people.
