Burhan Ghalion, head of the Syrian Transitional National Council (STNC) stated that they consider Iran as an accomplice in killing Syrians, accusing the Iranians of persistently and blatantly supporting the Syrian President Bashar al- Assad and providing him with all means, technologies, and equipment he needs to suppress Syrian people.
Asr Iran Quds Website quoted Mr. Ghalion as saying "it is impossible for us to accept any Iranian mediation in dialogue or others because the regime should and would vanish."
"All calls and initiatives circulated by media are but attempts to change the image of the outstanding situation represented by a regime that wages a war against its people, but no new mediation can change this reality," Ghalion added.
"The UN Security Council should adopt a resolution to protect the Syrian people or to provide them with means to protect themselves."
"We abandoned hopes and illusions about any international action to stop killing, and the people decided to meet its fate by itself and to protect itself with weapons and resources it has," according to Mr. Ghalion.
But he noted that if an action taken by the international community proves to be "serious to deter killings, it will be welcomed."
