Most of the Arabs are happy for the down fall of the dictators, but they forget other dictators, which the tyrants inside them, where they want to tailor people in accordance with their desires, and here is one of the most important problems that is steadfast in the Arab genes as general.
This may go back to lack of real democracy awareness and how to practice it. It is not just an access of a ruler to power so as to offer us a great deal or some small fragments of freedom of speech so as to call ourselves a community that has switched to democracy.
This is not to belittle the overthrow of dictatorial regimes, but this overthrow, will not necessarily be enough base for building a democratic society, which means realistic practices that do not trespass freedoms of the others.
It is desirable to overthrow a rampant Arab culture that prevailed on the Arab behavior, so that the Eastern people smell the aroma of freedom as it should be. It is not reasonable that we should express our happiness for the overthrow of a dictator, while the individual practices this dictatorship on his surroundings wherever he can.
This prevailing authoritarian method among most of the eastern community is clear in more than a side such as freedom of speech. Many cannot differentiate up to now between the freedom of opinion and imposing it. A response to an opinion could mostly be enforcing it, as if the one who responds possesses the whole truth, can grant indulgence and have keys for heaven.
If someone in the east, takes a close look at the mechanisms of dialogues and discussions spreading in more than one forum, he will no doubt perceive the authoritarian method through the interaction with a certain opinion and how to respond to it, which sometimes amounts to slander, defamation and or threatening. It is a method that doesn't differ from the behavior of a security authority of an authoritarian regime against a peaceful demonstration.
For our community to be democratic, we should master the art of dialogue and the belief that opinions are to be exposed and not imposed. It is not acceptable at all to refuse them on grounds of the intention of imposing others in place of them.
Every opinion has a similar and correspondent one which has its arguments and evidences. The freedom of choice is up to the forum to adopt the opinion that suits its thinking and culture.
The same is true to the blatant interference in the freedom and choices of the others, which sometimes goes to the extent of interfering in the selection of the colors of cloths, interference in the choice of a white or blond girl in choosing a black man as her husband. Based on this the dictatorship of an Arab individual can be measured as part of the prevailing culture.
A society whose individuals are dictators cannot be ruled by democrats.
