The Secretary of Expediency Discernment Council, Mohsen Rezai, expressed concerns about the impact of the dictatorial Bashar al-Assad regime's downfall on the Iranian regime.
Rezai, who is also former commander-guards of the Iranian regime, stated that the Syrian dictatorship, heavily supported by the mullahs dictatorial regime in Iran, is considered as "red line" for regime.
The "nasimonline.ir" website quoted Rezaie as saying: "The NATO and Turkey were preparing in December 2011 to launch a joint attack on, and inflict a fatal blow against Syria, in order to annihilate Syrian regime within a week. However, information received confirms that they delayed their plan for many reasons".
"Syria is our red line, and we will not stand idly about what is being planned against Syria", Rezai added.
