With the ailing mentality of self triumph and the defeat to the homeland, Saleh returned to speak to his aides at the meeting of his General committee of the so called the " national foundling parties," to prove to the world that the signing of the initiative means nothing to him and he will inevitably turn against it . This was clear when he spoke of the need of lifting the sit-ins and the stopping of protests after the initiative is signed.

This is a clear indication that he is planning to do such thing, because the initiative and its operational mechanisms don't stipulate the lifting of the sit-ins or stopping the protests. His statement also proves the concern, anxiety and pain that is caused by the revolutionary activities of sit- ins and marches that are carried out by the youth, and their impact in uprooting the family regime.
 
Saleh has returned to tell the world that he had signed the initiative but he wouldn't apply it, because he is still reassuring himself to be the real president through issuing orders, presidential decrees and issuing indulgences to forgive his murdering aides. He used to do this not to prove that he is lenient but because he knows very well who had issued the killing orders to murders.

Saleh knows very well that the persistence of the youth and the peaceful continuation of their resistance in the freedom squares are a challenge to his power because he cannot afford staying outside the presidential complex even if this costs the life and future of the people and homeland. 

He is also well aware of the fact that he cannot live without giving speeches that are received with clapping , even if with shoes, that is why he endeavors to create events so as to address them. It is ironic that he returned but his return is similar to his absence if remains silent.

He returned to tell his followers who met him, dancing and uttering trilling cries of joy for singing the initiative, while they used to refuse it before, that the signing is a victory to the people. He said that there is not a winner or loser and that no one should believe that he is a loser because the others had won. "Of course this is the most important thing to him because he is used to seeing the homeland defeated as he is military victorious.

The most impressive irony in his return is that it coincides with what the official media had called the beginning of '' President Saleh's tenth international chess championship"
No one has participated in this fabricated tasteless farce, however it reminds me of the deposed Gadafi who had appeared playing chess with the president of the international chess federation, last June and announcing that he wouldn't step down and he is not going to leave the country.

Saleh returned to affirm that he wouldn't transfer power to the Vice President and that he wouldn't leave for New York. I imagine that like Gadafi, Saleh with his miscalculated movements and speeches is following the same passage of a painful end to him and all his relatives as did Gaddafi. One wonders at his insistence on non-delivery of his powers to his deputy, who still attends the meetings as one of the members of the General Committee.
